Meet Amy: The Myalgia Fibro Warrior
The Myalgia Fibro Warrior
Living with a illness can be a struggle to feel alone. Sometimes even in a room full of people who are supportive but don't have your illness. I want to share how we can still connect with others who have other health issues because at the core of it all we want to just be accepted for who we are and have some kind of place where we feel like we are not alone.
The meet and greets on my website is just that along my blogging journey I have met some amazing people some with 22q and some people who do not have 22q. Here is a story of someone who does not have 22q but understands the complex nature of managing multiple health issues like Bella and I have.
I hope you enjoy this blog post and after you will visit her blog and read her amazing journey.

No, I am not married but do have a partner of Seven Years.
What do you do for a living?
I currently do not work. I am very fortunate to have a Partner who is on an okay wage to keep us going, for the time being. I miss working, having my own money and Socializing
I run the “Dream Big-Be Unique” Website full time and I am hoping to turn this into a Charity.
I have tried and tried to find employment, along with my Fibromyalgia and it is very difficult.
If you had one day completely alone how would you fill your time?
I would spend it by resting and I mean resting. I would just sit down with a box set and relax.
My nervous System is currently I high alert every day. Its draining!
What is your Favourite little luxury?
Candles, I love candles. The natural smells do not affect my migraines, the conventional shop bought sprays do and I will almost certainly have a Migraine.
What is one vacation spot on your bucket list?
I have never been abroad, so I would gladly go anywhere.
What is your Favourite drink?
I don’t really have a favourite drink, but treat myself now and again to some fizzy. I normally drink a lot water due to the amounts of meds, I am taking.
If you could rewind the years before you knew about Fibromyalgia and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
I don’t normally like to live in the past. Fibromyalgia just happens. I had a very busy job and a Dad who was poorly a lot. So through no control of my own both couldn’t be avoided. It the cards I got dealt with, it’s how I can adapt now that matters.
What is your favourite family tradition?
Taking a walk on the Quantocks. We do this on the day, that would be my Dad’s birthday and when he died. We as kids were always walking up there and climbing a tree we named “Oakey”.
What is your most prized possession besides your family?
It would be my laptop. Without this, I wouldn’t be able to do my Website and have access to the internet to build something new, from scratch.
