22q and attendance

22q and attendance

my daughter has a waiver from her dr and an Iep stated in the parent concern area is where I put that she has to have multiple dr visits and see specialist due to the genetic disorder 22q11.2 deletion and that all medical appoitments are waived. The school allows 10 absences and Bella is at 35. Weekly trips to a speciality place in grand rapids michigan so I had 3 dr see her ot pt speech and psychology weekly all on same day to minize absences.

Bella is only doing as well as she is because I stuck to routine structure while my hubby works hard to support us fiancially I take care of the other stuff home ect

Bella had about 6 dr visits per trimester and a dental surgery back last year.  with a few extra flu and snow days thid year was crazy. She had her highest attendance yet. which had allowed for after school stuff like her completing 5k race for girls on the run  during Nov and Dec winter months in michigan on top of 22q she has mild cp and adhd and a few other diagonses we keep on top of.

I am a trained parent mentor and advocate got certified  because I was fed up with the school lack of comprehension.

my kido graduates June 12 from elementary and we did the transition meeting for Middle school with starting up for level 2 services.

Through elementary school she had level 1 services with pull in and pull out.

Her grades are excellent A and B except in Math. I shared our journey on my website you can go back over some of our post and read about the journey follow the Bella stories page and the Amanda stories  page
